Sonja began teaching in the United States in 1969. She created View Ridge Farm Equestrian Center in 1978, where to this day she trains riders and horses through all levels. During yearly horse purchasing trips for clients, Sonja keeps up with her education and rides with some of the top European trainers. She also hosts clinics at her farm with well renowned European Clinicians.
Overlake Farm is the oldest horse farm in Bellevue, Overlake Farm provides exceptional horse-centered service at a reasonable price. Overlake Farm was established nearly 70 years ago before there was a bridge across Lake Washington! Located on Bridle Trails Equestrian Park in Bellevue, Washington, Overlake Farm has access to 480 acres of beautiful horse trails and riding arenas. Although we offer stalls, we also believe your horse should be outside all day, as nature intended. Horses are healthiest when they are allowed to move around, graze green grass, enjoy the sun on their backs, and socialize with other horses. If a horse is physically and emotionally happy, they are more responsive to you!
Located conveniently in Bellevue, Washington, Overlake Farm has been sharing its experience and love for horses, animals, and nature with people of all ages for over 70 years. This year we are pleased to offer summer Horse and Farm Camps for children aged 5-11. Our camps are focused on an introductory experience for young children who have little or no riding experience. In addition to horse related activities, each camper will participate in outdoor exploration and farm life.
We are a 50 stall, 40-acre horse training, horse rehabilitation and boarding facility at the foot of 50,000 acres of riding trails in Sultan, Washington, which also includes a full trail obstacle course. We are located about an hour northeast of Seattle on the beautiful Skykomish River. We are located within the gated community of Sky River Estates, providing additional security for your horse.

Capstone Training is an equestrian program specializing in three-day eventing, dressage, and jumping. There are opportunities for horse training, as well as lesson and clinics for riders.
Trainer Whitney Spicher has a strong riding background and understanding of horse and human psychology, which helps her bring along horses and riders of many levels and abilities. With an emphasis on ground work and clear communication with the horse, our riders find success and learning to be a fun and productive process!

We have ample hay storage and provide a choice of quality Eastern Washington Hays or Local Grass to ensure your horse stays in good health. There are large pasture turnouts that provide ample grazing area year round to our boarders. We understand that your horses deserve exercise, room to move about and a calming environment. The barn design allows for ample eye contact and visual stimulation that keeps your horse happy and content, even in the winter months. Our feeding program allows for owners to provide the grain of their choice, supplements, and instructions – always giving you, the horse owner, control over your horses feed program.

The focus or our curriculum is the schooling of the horse and rider at all levels from beginner to advanced. This includes obedience, balance, self-carriage, calmness, and lightness. We also offer work-in-hand, musical freestyle, quadrille, and a young rider program.
